Life really has been a roller coaster for Ronan Keating as he relived the ups and downs of his music career.
After finding fame in Boyzone in the ’90s, the When The Going Gets Tough singer admitted he rarely relished being a pop star.
‘I didn’t enjoy the first six years of the band because I was working too hard,’ Ronan, 45, told Guilty Pleasures.
‘All the hits we had, Top Of The Pops, the world tours – I spent so much time wanting to be the best and trying to be professional. Then I went solo, and I did the same thing.
‘Only about ten years ago, it was a lightbulb moment. I went, “I’ve got to start enjoying myself.”’
The father of-five will next be seen getting into a spin as the newest coach on The Voice Kids. And Ronan says being a parent has helped him mentor the TV talent show’s young wannabes.
