Liz Truss has numerous challenges to tackle in her first few days in office, as the pressure is on for her to announce a comprehensive plan to tackle the cost of living crisis.
The Prime Minister’s first day in office saw little time for her to get to work, as she embarked on a 1,000 mile round trip to meet the Queen, gave her first speech outside No 10 and appointed her Cabinet.
But day two will see Ms Truss knuckle down as she chairs her first Cabinet meeting and faces Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer at PMQs.
