Amad Diallo has dropped a hint that he is closing in on a return from injury, despite earlier reports suggesting he could miss the rest of the season.
In a pretty bleak season so far for the Red Devils, Amad has been one of the few highlights, performing impressively.
The 22-year-old was in fine form before suffering an ankle injury last month which he initially said was going to keep him out for ‘some time’.
United manager Ruben Amorim suggested that would mean until the end of the season before the Portuguese rowed back on that and hinted that Amad could feature again this campaign.
The winger has now dropped his own hint, although his Snapchat post does not provide much in the way of details.

The Ivory Coast international posted an egg timer with a smiley face, suggesting that his time on the sidelines could be coming to an end.
Amad initially announced the ankle problem he suffered on February 15.

‘Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season,’ he told his followers on social media last month.
‘Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury. I will come back stronger than ever!! Time to support the boys from the outside. Still loads to play for.’
Amorim suggested that ‘some time’ meant that his winger would be out for the rest of the season, saying: ‘Amad is out for sure until the end of the season.
‘Amad was alone. He was doing a tackle. The feet were sticking in the grass.’

However, there appears to be hope that the former Atalanta man could play again this season, even if it is right at the end of the campaign.
The Premier League season ends on May 25 and Amorim hinted that his winger could be playing again by then.
Giving an update on team news, Amorim told a press conference ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Arsenal earlier this month: ‘I think it’s just Amad and Martinez (who won’t play again this season). Even Amad, we will see in the end of the last month.
‘He could be… I don’t want to say nothing, but I have the hope to have Amad before the end of the season. We’ll see.’

Manchester United are unbeaten in four games, winning their last two, but return from the international break with a tough run of fixtures.
Amorim’s side go to Nottingham Forest before hosting Manchester City in the Premier League, then return to Europa League action with a trip to Lyon on April 10 for the first leg of the quarter-final.
