James Martin has responded to one message of support he’s received after issuing an apology and revealing his cancer diagnosis.
The 51-year-old issued a statement apologising for ‘upsetting or causing offence’ after he was accused of exhibiting bullying and intimidating behaviour while filming an ITV programme.
He later issued another apology, citing personal life pressures including a shock cancer diagnosis, the death of his last surviving grandparent, and a home burglary as building up to his ‘very emotional state’ when his home was ‘flooded’ while filming due to a blocked drain.
‘I can only say I am human and following a build-up of personal life pressure, I admit I overreacted regarding the damage to my home,’ he said.
His apology sparked support from celebs and fans alike, including stars who have worked with the TV chef.
Brian Turner, who makes regular appearances on James Martin’s Saturday Morning, wrote a touching message of support.
He said: ‘In my view you make me proud to be your TV dad. You have always been there for me whenever needed.
‘Stay as kind as you always are, tough when needed and true to your Yorkshire principles. X’

While he didn’t comment on the Tweet, Martin ‘liked’ the message, the only comment on his apology post that he appears to have responded to.
Actor Denise van Outen also wrote: ‘James & @ralph_loulabelle I love you both so much! You’ve always made me feel welcome and you know hanging out with you guys on your show with you’re brilliant team is one of my highlights of the year.
‘I’m so sorry this has been put out into the public domain, when I know you’ve already apologised in private. Sending loads of love to you guys. Can’t wait to see you soon. ❤️’
This Morning presenter Dermot O’Leary, added: ‘Chin up, shoulders back, butter ready to speed . X.’
Since his apology, the expletive moment he scolded staff over the incident has been ‘leaked’ with the presenter heard swearing 42 times in a 10 minute rant, in an audio clip obtained by The Sun.
In it, Martin scolded his team, telling them they should be ‘f***ing fried’ and punishing them by ordering they take their lunch breaks in the ‘f***ing rain.’

‘Show me and show my house more f**king respect – if not, you’re gone,’ he is heard saying after the drain damage.
He continued: ‘Senior members of our staff will get f**king fired because I‘m sick of it. I’m sick of being treated like a f**king piece of sh*t.’
On Thursday, Martin addressed the recording (before it had been leaked) and said on his social media he felt compelled to make a statement about the incident after ‘details of a conversation which was secretly recorded in January 2018 are now five years later being made public by a former member of our production team.’
In a series of posts on Twitter, he wrote: ‘I would like to publicly and sincerely apologise to the crew involved in this incident, as I did at the time.’
He described the end of 2017 as ‘one of the most fraught and difficult periods of my life’ because he had been dealing with his grandfather’s death and a home burglary.
‘I was then diagnosed with cancer on my face and I had to have surgery, which I couldn’t do until two days before Christmas when we had finished filming,’ he added.
‘Since then it has returned on several occasions and I have to have regular treatments.’

Asa Ellerup, the estranged wife of the suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer, returned to her home after police searched it for evidence (Picture: MEGA/Getty)
The wife of the accused Gilgo Beach serial killer spoke to reporters for the first time since her husband was arrested and charged with the murders of three women over a decade ago.
Asa Ellerup, 59, returned to her home in Massapequa Park, New York on Thursday after investigators finished scouring the house for evidence.
Her husband, Rex Heuermann, was arrested for the murders three women found dead in December 2010.
Investigators are still trying to determine if he was responsible for the other seven bodies found in the same part of Long Island’s South Shore between 2010 and 2011.

Heuermann, a 59-year-old architect who owned a firm in Midtown, Manhattan, was arrested on Thursday, July 13 at his office. After he was taken into custody, police quickly descended on his suburban home.
Over next 12 days, investigators were seen hauling out filing cabinets, gardening tools, and a large portrait of a woman with a bruised face.
They also removed Heuermann’s massive collection of firearms.
‘Approximately 279 weapons were recovered,’ Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said.

Later, investigators brought in a large backhoe to dig up part of Heuermann’s backyard after detecting ‘disturbances’ underground, Tierney said.
Ellerup and her daughter returned to their Massapequa Park home on Thursday. Although she previously cursed at reporters at the property, she briefly addressed them on Friday.
‘If you want to take pictures, go ahead. I’m OK with it now,’ Ellerup told reporters waiting outside the torn up suburban home. ‘The sheer depression of what I saw was enough trauma.’
Court documents reveal she filed for divorce less than a week after Heuermann’s surprise arrest.
Heuermann was charged with six counts of murder for the deaths of Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, and Amber Costello. He has denied the charges.
Neither Ellerup nor her children have visited Heuermann in jail since his arrest.
