Missing Nicola Bulley had alcohol issues says police Missing Nicola Bulley had “significant issues” with alcohol brought on by her ongoing struggles with menopause, police have said. Bulley, 45, went missing whilst walking her dog in St Michael’s on Wyre. She had dropped her daughters off at school before heading to her usual dog walking spot, along a riverside. Police gave an update on the case yesterday, saying their working hypothesis remains that she fell into the river. Women and children rescued from Turkey earthquake debris nine days after disaster Three women and two children have been found alive, and pulled from the debris, nine days on from the devastating earthquake disaster. Forty-two-year-old Melike Imamoglu and 74-year-old Cemile Kekec were pulled from the rubble by rescuers in the Turkish town of Kahramanmaras. The rescue comes as workers move towards a clean-up operation following the collapse of thousands of buildings across Turkey and Syria. UN aid convoy arrives in Syria via newly opened corridor The first UN aid convoy has entered through a newly reopened border crossing into rebel-held north-western Syria. Syria is still reeling from last week’s devastating earthquakes in neighbouring Turkey. The quakes collapsed thousands of buildings, leaving many trapped underneath, and millions without homes, food and water. The quakes have so far killed more than 41,000 people in both Turkey and Syria. The UN said 11 lorries crossed from Turkey at Bab al-Salameh on Tuesday. US suspects three downed UFOs were ‘benign’ US officials have said there is no indication the three downed objects over the weekend are linked to alleged Chinese spying. The first object shot down is said to be a Chinese spy balloon and the other three are likely to be “tied to commercial or research entities and therefore benign”, spokesman John Kirby said.
