UK to be only major economy to shrink in 2023, IMF predicts The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has predicted the UK economy will be the only advanced economy to shrink in 2023 – performing worse than all other major economies including Russia, as the cost of living continues to hit hard. New powers to curb strike disruption passed by MPs A new bill aimed at enforcing minimum service levels for some sectors during strikes has been backed and passed by MPs. Joe Biden rules out sending jets to Ukraine Joe Biden has ruled out sending F-16 jets to Ukraine, just a week after agreeing to send 31 Abrams tanks to the war-torn country. Pakistan mosque blast death toll rises to 87 The death toll in the Pakistan mosque bombing has risen to at least 87 people, a day after the bomber targeted policemen in the province of Peshawar.
