Blackpool is a seaside resort on the Irish Sea coast of England. Blackpool is Britain’s most loved holiday destination, It’s known for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, an old-school amusement park with vintage wooden roller coasters. Built in 1894, the landmark Blackpool Tower houses a circus, a glass viewing platform and the Tower Ballroom, where dancers twirl to the music of a Wurlitzer organ. Blackpool Illuminations is an annual light show along the Promenade. Blackpool’s illuminations are world famous and have become the envy of so many other tourist hot spots who have tried to replicate the show.
Not many places can offer a traditional fish n chips, wrapped in paper and smothered with ‘salt n vinegar’ followed by a drive through the illuminations. A fun packed family event which have been symbolized by a great opening ceremony which takes place each year. Such is the attraction of Blackpool that even the Top Gear stars; Jeremy Clarkson and crew attended the opening as part of a sequence of their show.
If you are feeling adventurous take a trip up the famous Blackpool Tower, which measures at 158 meters above the town or get your adrenaline pumping at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, where you can ride the UK’s tallest roller-coaster, ‘The Big One’.

By strolling down the South promenade you will discover contemporary artwork by pop artist Sir Peter Blake and the glittery spectacle that is the world’s largest Mirror Ball in the Great Promenade Show.
