The Observer – Doubts grow over Labour’s VAT plan for private schools
The Observer is amongst the newspapers to lead on UK politics. The paper says Labour’s plans to impose 20% VAT on private school fees may not proceed in January due to “warnings from unions, tax experts and school leaders”.
Elsewhere, the front page reports the Premier League gave MPs £100,000 worth of tickets – ahead of the introduction of the independent body aimed at not letting EPL bosses form a breakaway league.
