George Knight’s (Colin Salon) adoptive parents have arrived in Albert Square ahead of an EastEnders storyline that will look at child farming.
On Christmas Day, George was busy in the pub prepping Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Keanu’s (Danny Walters) wedding reception.
He was interrupted by the arrival of Cindy (Michelle Collins), who invited him for a drink at the Beale household.
Joined by Elaine (Harriet Thorpe), George was left feeling awkward when topic of conversation turned to presents.

Feeling bad, George surprised Elaine with a hotel trip away. Elaine was thrilled but when he was left alone, George desperately searched for a room to book – clearly lying to his partner in front of Ian (Adam Woodyatt) and his ex.
In tonight’s (January 1) episode of the BBC One soap, George returned to Walford and bumped into Cindy.
They once again shared a laugh and then parted ways, with George heading into the pub with supplies for a New Year game of beer pong.

Later, Cindy was back to cause more trouble and approcached George in the barrel store.
She wondered if George was happy in his relationship with Elaine, but things took a turn when the lady in question entered and wondered what was going on.

Back in the pub, after Cindy told George he had visitors, he was faced with Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) and Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) – his mum and dad.
The arrival of Gloria and Eddie marks the start of a new story for George, who will be told he was adopted via a process known as farming, which saw children advertised for money for parents looking to give young people a home.
