England U21 star Jamie Gittens has asked to leave Borussia Dortmund amid speculation linking him with Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Gittens, 20, has caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs with his largely impressive form for Bundesliga side Dortmund.
The former Manchester City academy player enjoyed a superb first-half of the season, netting nine goals for a Borussia Dortmund side who have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
But Gittens has struggled of late, going 16 games without a goal before ending his drought at the weekend in an emphatic win over Freiburg.
The downturn in form saw Gittens slip down Niko Kovac’s pecking order and that is one of the reasons the player is now planning his next career move.

Sky Germany say Gittens has informed Dortmund he wants to leave this summer, with the club open to a sale if a suitable offer arrives on the table.
Gittens was linked with big-money moves to Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea in January and those clubs are still believed to be interested in a deal despite his recent drop-off.

Borussia Dortmund valued Gittens at €100m just a few months ago but are prepared to lower their demands given the player’s desire to leave.
Gittens, who has made exactly 100 appearances for Dortmund, is contracted to the German outfit until 2028 and there remains a possibility that he stays put.
While Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have been heavily linked with moves for Gittens, Arsenal were recently told they had a ‘massive chance’ of securing his signature.

‘I think there’s a good chance we could see Jamie Gittens playing in the Premier League next season,’ ex-Premier League defender Ryan Babbel told Wette.de.
‘I don’t think Borussia Dortmund will qualify for the Champions League this season, or even for the Europa League or Conference League.
‘They will have to sell some players this summer and Gittens is the player they’ll be able to sell for the most money – so a move would make sense for all parties.
‘Given his qualities, he’ll be wanting to play in the Champions League next year which is why Arsenal will have a massive chance of signing him in the summer. He’d be a brilliant addition to Mikel Arteta’s team.
‘Out of the other Premier League clubs linked with Gittens, I’m not sure about Tottenham’s chances of signing him, or even Chelsea’s.
‘He’ll be wanting to play Champions League football next year, which is why I believe he will leave Dortmund at the end of this season.’
Gittens started Dortmund’s Champions League quarter-final first leg clash against Barcelona on Wednesday night but left the Nou Camp disappointed as the hosts surged to a 4-0 win.
