The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, has criticized this Saturday his Argentine counterpart, Javier Milei, whom he has branded as a “nostalgic (Benito) Mussolini” and “greedy”, in addition to defining him as “Cipayo”, a term used to refer to a person who betrays the interests of his country and favors that of foreign powers.
“Milei comes from the European world, does not come from Latin American flow. He is Italian. And today Italy is in full decline and still longs for the Roman Empire, but Mussolini, something worse,” said the president in an interview with the Spanish economist Alfredo Serrano Mancilla in the La Pizarra program.
In this sense, the leader has argued that he believes that Milei is “a nostalgic of Mussolini.” “And it becomes part of energies that correspond not to life but to death. It is a greedy,” he added.
“And (Donald) Trump must look at Milei as inferior, just as Hitler looked at the Jews as inferior. Then he mocks him, he accepts it, but he is not at ease and hits him because he does not want it. But they are the cipayos, despite the fact that the master does not want them, they are still kneeling before him,” he criticized.
He has also called for the Argentine people, who, according to him, “has to do something:” But I do not say it because I respect the principle of the autonomy of the peoples, “he concluded.
