Police were called to Paget street on Sunday evening
A man’s body was discovered in the back of a van engulfed in flames in Staffordshire.
Police were called to the blaze in Paget Street, Burton-upon-Trent, at 7.55pm on Sunday by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The remains were discovered only after the fire had been extinguished.
His death is currently being treated as unexplained, Staffordshire Police said, with a post-mortem examination to be carried out to establish the cause of the man’s death.
Police have asked anyone with footage from the area or information about the incident to contact the force, quoting incident 637 of August 13.
