The Reds’ lost 3-1 to Brentford at the Community Stadium after putting in a poor defensive performance. It means Liverpool missed out on closing in on the Premier League’s top four.
Liverpool are in sixth place, whilst Brentford are two points behind Liverpool in seventh place.
