Aid and advocacy groups reacted with dismay and outrage on Friday to Donald Trump’s order imposing a temporary ban on Syrian refugee admissions to the U.S. The sudden and severe immigration restrictions imposed on passport holders from seven Muslim countries could seriously demonstrate the law of unintended consequences. It is also understood that this ban or a some sort of restriction will also be levied towards passport holders from Pakistan as well. It will be interesting to see how diplomatically, the white house deals with one of its strategic alias in the war on terror.
Amnesty International USA called the order “cruel” and “inhumane” and said it violates international law.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations said it will announce a Constitutional challenge to what it called a “Muslim ban.” News of the ban prompted the United Nations refugee agency and International Organisation for Migration (IOM) make a joint statement “The needs of refugees and migrants worldwide have never been greater and the US resettlement program is one of the most important in the world,” said .
Many Democrats condemned the order. “Make no mistake — this is a Muslim ban,” said Senator Kamala Harris, a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs.
However, President Donald Trump said in a new interview Friday that persecuted Christians will be given priority over other refugees seeking to enter the United States, saying they have been “horribly treated.” So in other words #banmuslims.
This executive order will affect refugees, tourist industry, relationships, family events like weddings and funerals as well as commerce. In one swoop peoples lively-hood and safety have suddenly been diminished.

With a pen stroke, a wedding is missed, a eulogy isn't spoken, a job is not taken, a family is left broken, safety isn't found. #MuslimBan
